ASTHO’s Senior Leader Reserve Corps (SLRC) is a new on-demand tactical technical assistance offering for health officials and their senior leadership teams at no cost to the health department. SLRC offers members the opportunity to be matched with an experienced former state/territorial health agency leader to support them in addressing their toughest challenges.
In collaboration with CDC, Senior Leader Reserve Corps provides targeted matching of experienced leaders with specific expertise to state/territorial health agencies requesting support. These former leaders can serve in many different capacities—as strategic thought partners, advisors, business process mappers, implementation experts, and more.
This opportunity is available as stand-alone support or as part of other engagements with ASTHO, depending on the need. Example areas of support could include:
- Thought partnership on reimagining public health infrastructure in the agency.
- Support in strategic direction setting for the agency’s business operations.
- Support for senior leadership reconsidering their agency structure as it relates to health equity initiatives.
