School Ventilation and Air Filtration: Focus Group Findings and Guidance Considerations for Health Agencies

There’s been a national focus on upgrading school ventilation systems to combat the spread of COVID-19. ASTHO, with support from EPA, convened two focus groups to discuss state-level guidance, ventilation and filtration technologies, layered mitigation techniques, partner engagement, and challenges states face in providing ventilation guidance to school districts. In this report, find how representatives from across 11 states have approached school ventilation guidance for schools and find key considerations for states looking to create school ventilation and air filtration guidance.
