The Essentials of Leadership and Management (ELM) Leadership Workshop Series: Ignite, Accelerate, and Activate prepares supervisors and managers to become more effective in their roles within governmental public health agencies. This leadership series is designed for public health leaders to take a deep dive into three core topic areas needed to build management and leadership competencies. The series is designed to improve professional skills as a leader, which includes learning how to:

  • Build a unique leadership style
  • Improve decision-making and credibility
  • Expand communication and self-awareness skills
  • Handle conflict
  • Lead teams
  • Identify roadblocks that impede growth

This program includes live facilitated online training with expert in-session coaching, leadership self-assessments, opportunities to collaborate with peers, and access to in-depth self-paced learning.

The Leadership Workshop Series: Ignite, Accelerate, Activate provides an opportunity for public health leaders to earn a micro-credential for each leadership topic and a full badge for completing the entire series, as well as the opportunity to be part of a unique learning community with public health leaders from across the country.

The Leadership Workshop Series is a part of the ELM suite, which provides training that further develops and sharpens skills among new and emerging public health leaders, resulting in a better and more sustainable work environment.
