Surveillance and Prevention With Maternal Mortality Review Committees

Maternal Mortality Review Committees (MMRCs) are multidisciplinary committees in states and cities that perform comprehensive reviews of deaths among women within a year of the end of a pregnancy. Attendees learned more about the review process, strategies for moving MMRC data to action, and heard an example of how the state of Texas took recommendations to action.
