Capacity Building Assistance for Long COVID at State and Territorial Health Departments
ASTHO is pleased to announce a funding opportunity to support up to three (3) state and territorial health agencies in implementing activities that advance their Long COVID priorities and contribute to the growing body of knowledge and lessons learned across jurisdictions. Through this opportunity, awardees will implement strategies to address jurisdiction-specific needs (e.g., strategic planning, resource development, public or provider education, and other activities that strengthen Long COVID response efforts). All states and territories with an active SAM.gov registration and in good standing with ASTHO are eligible to apply. Please see the Request for Proposals for additional guidance and information.

Leadership Exchange for Adolescent Health Promotion Plus (LEAHP+) Community of Practice Cohort 3
ASTHO is currently accepting applications for participation in the third cohort of the Leadership Exchange for Adolescent Health Promotion Plus (LEAHP+) Community of Practice. The LEAHP+ Community of Practice will support education and health agencies to work together to improve health education, connect schools to services, and support safe and supportive school environments. Participants will develop state-level action plans that utilize evidence-based practices in schools to improve adolescent health. Overall, this initiative seeks to create a sustainable framework for addressing adolescent health through school-based strategies, ensuring long-term benefits for individuals and communities.

Bridging Barriers in Maternal Health Access Community of Practice
Requesting applications for Year 2 of the Bridging Barriers in Maternal Health Access Community of Practice (CoP). The CoP will bring together state health agency staff and Levels of Maternal Care leaders to address challenges in maternal health. Specifically, the CoP will focus on Levels of Maternal Care as a critical lever to address maternal morbidity and mortality. The CoP is designed to be a low-lift, high-value learning opportunity that supports participants through peer learning, technical assistance, and access to subject matter experts.
There will be no direct funding available for participants. Travel and lodging will be covered in full for up to three representatives per jurisdiction to attend an in-person meeting in Washington D.C. on December 2nd-3rd, 2026. Eligible Community of Practice participants will have the opportunity to apply for innovation grants to pilot initiatives that advance LoMC in their jurisdiction.

Shared Strategies for Well-Being and Resilience Learning Community (2026-2027)
This learning community builds upon ASTHO’s Roadmap and Action Guide to Shared Strategies that Promote Well-Being and Resilience, which highlight evidence-informed approaches for advancing cross-cutting prevention strategies. ASTHO will select up to four state health agencies to participate in this new learning community from November 2026-July 2027, which brings together leadership and program staff across multiple areas to strengthen collaboration, align priorities, and advance prevention efforts through a shared-strategies approach.
