The CDC’s 6|18 Initiative unites Medicaid and public health agencies in implementing proven interventions that prevent chronic and infectious diseases by increasing coverage, access, utilization, and quality. Additionally, it aligns evidence-based preventive practices with emerging value-based payment and delivery models. This Center for Health Care Strategies webinar will feature state officials from South Carolina and Rhode Island who will share their experiences making the case for enhanced Medicaid benefits related to tobacco cessation and asthma control. During the webinar, officials from CMS and CDC will share insights on 6|18’s relationship to broader state and national initiatives.
