About

As part of ASTHO’s efforts to highlight effective public health and health care system preparedness in the states, we collect useful practices for the state, territorial and local public health agencies. ASTHO encourages state health agencies to submit stories containing useful practices from real-life incidents that may assist colleagues in other states with their preparedness planning and response activities. Jurisdictions may directly post their useful practices to ASTHO's Useful Practices Web site using a template which will direct them through the process.

Useful Practices

To identify a useful practice that may help your preparedness work. The website has a search capability function which allows for any combination of year, jurisdiction, or public health practice. ASTHO also has a collection of older stories archived from earlier years which may also be useful. These stories may also serve as suggestions for submissions

Please take a moment to review the Useful Practices website and consider submitting your useful practices to benefit your colleagues.
