Status of CHIP Prospective Payer System Implementation: An Assessment of State CHIP Directors
This ASTHO supported report, developed by NACHC, provides state policymakers with states’ experiences implementing Prospective Payment System (PPS) or Alternative Payment System (APS) for Federally-Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) providing services under a non-Medicaid CHIP plan. The report addresses the implications of these experiences for private insurers participating in Exchanges who will be required to contract with FQHCs and pay them at least as much as they would receive under a PPS. « less… more »
