Medicaid and Public Health Partnerships

ASTHO supports state health agencies by providing information and technical assistance to facilitate partnerships with Medicaid. These activities encompass a range of payment and delivery reform initiatives such as the State Innovation Models (SIM) Initiative and promoting collaborative opportunities between Medicaid and public health that will achieve the Triple Aim of better care, reducing costs, and improving population health outcomes.

Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI)

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (the Innovation Center) with CMS supports the development and testing of innovative healthcare payment and service delivery models. ASTHO is one of several national organizations receiving funding from the CDC to provide capacity building support for State Innovation Models (SIM) Grantees through a variety of technical assistance. State Work on Payment and Delivery Reform

ASTHO is one of several national organizations receiving funding to provide capacity building support for SIM Grantees through a variety of technical assistance. ASTHO has established a six state working group to share updates and resources on each state's respective payment and delivery reform work. The six state working group consisted of Minnesota, Maryland, Massachusetts, Vermont, Oregon, and Washington. Read more »
