On Capitol Hill, disagreement continues among Republicans about how to proceed on ACA repeal and replacement efforts. A current draft from House Republicans would repeal and replace major provisions simultaneously. However, Republican representatives disagree with certain components of the bill, especially the tax credit, believing it better to repeal the law first and worry about replacement later. It is unclear whether this legislation will be considered next week. Additionally, the Senate Finance Committee approved Seema Verma, a former ASTHO employee, as administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Her nomination will now be sent to the full Senate for a vote.
